About WING RECORDS and Charles Jones:
I graduated Pratt Institute, NYC. with a Bac. Fine Arts in '68. I have painted & taught painting /drawing since then, and have always collected classical 78's & LP's. I met Sandy, my wife, when she was managing the largest and best record store (David Hall came from NYC regularly to find things) in New Haven, Connecticut, home of Yale University. It was love at first promo.; that was back in '73. I worked for The Yale Collection of Historical Sound Recordings for a few years, which only increased my interest, & appetite for great performances. We started WING RECORDS in 1992. |
